The descendants and dragons born near the end of the war or before the rest of their species appear to have differing appearances, ranging from Kalameet with his red crest and two wings, to the abomination that is the Gaping Dragon. It is assumed that most ancient dragons were much like the Stone Dragon, with four wings, stony scales, fur, humanoid torsos and arms, and curved horns. It's not known if all of the ancient dragons were alike. Most of these creatures mainly keep to themselves, threatening those who enter their territories. In the years since, dragons have not yet been completely eliminated, though most if not all of the original members have died out, replaced by twisted descendants, and the related group of wyverns.
Three of the most powerful gods, known as Lords, waged war upon the dragons, and nearly exterminated all of them with the help of one of their own, ushering in the age of fire.
That changed with the advent of the First Flame,and the rise of the Gods and Humans. According to legend, during the dark shrouded era of the world before light, dragons ruled over the unformed world with their stony scales and breath of fire.
